No one is promised tomorrow.

Found this during one of those surfing aimlessly moments and said I need to copy paste it here.

One of the best eye opener message that really give you goosebumps

It was their anniversary, and Aisha was waiting for her husband Rajiv to show up.
Things had changed since their marriage, the once cute couple couldn't-live-without-each-other had turned bitter.
Fighting over every little things, both didn't like the way things had changed.
Aisha was waiting to see if Rajiv remembered it was their anniversary!
Just a
s the door bell rang she ran to find her husband wet and smiling with a bunch of flowers in his hand.
The two started re-living the old days. Making up for fights, then was d plan for champagne, light music And it was raining outside! It was perfect.
But the moment paused when the phone in the bedroom rang.
Aisha went to pick it up and it was a man. "Hello ma'am I'm calling from the police station. Is this Mr Rajiv Mehra's number?"
"Yes it is!"
"I'm sorry ma'am; but there was an accident and a man died. We got this number from his wallet; we need you to come and identify his body."
Aisha's heart sank.!!! She was shocked!
But my husband is here with me?"

"Sorry ma'am, but the incident took place at 2 pm, when he was boarding the train."
Aisha was about to lose her conscience.
How could this happen?!
She had heard about the soul of the person coming to meet a loved one before it leaves!
She ran into the other room.
He was not there. It was true! He had left her for good!! Oh God she would have died for another chance to mend every little fight! She rolled on the floor in pain. She lost her chance! Forever!
Suddenly there was a noise from the bathroom, the door opened and Rajiv came out and said..... "Darling, I forgot to tell you my wallet got stolen today".

LIFE MIGHT NOT GIVE YOU A SECOND CHANCE. SO NEVER WASTE A MOMENT WHEN YOU CAN STILL MAKE UP FOR YOUR WRONGS!!!

No one is promised tomorrow. Have a wonderful Life with no regrets!

The Art of Drinking Tea - Desi Style

Tea or Chai ..this is something we Indians have grown up on and us South Indians also have the privilege of growing up on pure invigorating South Indian Filter Kaapi.

This short note is nothing about the types of tea or coffees or anything. Its very to the point on how to drink or sip tea desi style

So lets now get back to the rhythmic chant of Chai Garam up north. Available in every corner of every street, nukkad or gali..outside every office ..in fact everywhere..prices ranging from a measly INR 2 to INR 5, a hot sweet milky concoction which takes you to heaven and back.

The tea stall look something like this

This Ramlal has got nothing to with the Ramlal in Sholay
A typical Chai Wallah

The art of making tea is something which we can delve into later. For now here how one drinks his tea desi style.. buy tea or chai from any chaiwallah like the one shown above

Stage one post ordering chai, pour the liquid into the saucer

Tea in a saucer

Stage two.. slowly balancing the saucer, take it to your lips..make sure you do not cry over spilled tea

Slurp tea from the saucer

Stage three..drink or sip whatever your choice...and whatever you do you just HAVE to make a LOUD slurrrping sound

Stage four..place empty saucer down and repeat from Stage one

Repeat Stage one to four

Well that's it. How many of us have really enjoyed their tea like this?

Satyamevjayate

Satyamev Jayate Theme Song lyrics

Tera rung aisa chadh gaya
Koi aur rang naa chadh sake
Tera naam seene pe likha
Har koi aake padh sakey

Hai junoon hai junoon hai
Tere ishq ka ye junoon hai
Rag rag mein ishq tera daudta
Yeh bawraa sa khoon hai
Tune hi sikhaya sachchaiyon ka matlab
Tere paas aake jaana maine zindagi ka maqsad
Satyamev... satyamev... satyamev jayate
Sachcha hai pyaar tera, satyamev jayate

Tere noor ke dastoor mein
Na ho salwatein na shikan rahe
Meri koshishein toh hai bas yahin
Rahein khushbooein gulshan rahe
Teri zulf suljhane chala
Tere aur paas aane chala
Jahan koi sur na ho be-sura
Woh geet main gaane chala

Tera rang aisa chadh gaya
Tha nasha jo aur bhi badh gaya
Teri barishon ka karam hai ye
Main nikhar Gaya main sanwar gaya
Jaisa bhi hoon apna mujhe
Mujhe ye nahin hai bolna
Qaabil tere main ban sakoo
Mujhe dwaar aisa kholna
Saanson ki iss raftaar ko
Dhadkan ke iss tyohaar ko
Har jeet ko har haar ko
Khud apne iss sansaar ko
Badloonga main tere liye

Mujhe khud ko bhi hai tatolna
Kahin hai kami to hai bolna
Khahin daag hain toh chupayein kyon
Hum sach se nazrein hatayein kyon
Khud ko badalna hai agar
Badloonga main tere liye
Sholon pe chalna hai agar
Chal doonga main tere liye
Mere khoon kee har boond main
Sankalp ho tere pyaar ka
Kato mujhey to too bahe
Ho surkh rang har dhar ka

Let me know if any corrections need to be made :-)

You Read They Learn

Love the new Hindustan Times campaign. An innovation for sure after a very long time.
The timing also is very perfect with the Aamir Khan Satyamevjayate show

The Indian Fridge..Ahh Nostaligia

My first brush with a pot was when I was a little kid...our kiddy gang used to go for morning walks and adventures into JNU and "Priya ke Pahadi".  Priya ke Pahadi it was called as these were small hills with a few ponds in between them and were next to the Priya Theater.

For those who came in late..hehe pun intended..Priya is now PVR Priya in Basant Lok, Vasant Vihar. The Priya ke Pahadi is where the huge 3 air-conditioned malls stand now and India's biggest car manufacturer Maruti is located..Nelson Mandela road, Vasant Kunj

Now that history and gyaan given..let me get back to Pot :-)..Within these pahadi, there was a tree which looked like a Cock..there go your dirty minds on a wild run again..

Cock as in the rooster..see pic below..and imagine it in a shape of a tree..

Cock AKA Rooster
We used to call it Murga Paed or the cock tree.. and under this tree there used be a pot which was kept by the workers who were blasting the hills and the rocks with dynamite..(guess this was to make those roads which now take us to Gurgaon and the place which we now know as Vasant kunj)...OK guys am NOT that old

And we kids used to walk that 5 km walk one way..through the bushy brushy jungle..wade through the ponds just to drink that sweet water from that pot..FYI Pot here is NOT grass, ganja, marijuana..it was a clay pot.

The next time I got a pot was in college..had a bachelors pad in Bangalore.. and I being from delhi used to cold water from a fridge..got the pot in Bangalore..aah those were the great days

So what made me go back in time? My wife asked me to get a pot! and this one has a tap too..the only difference..the pots which I had earlier were filled with water from the earth ..a hand pump..this one is RO water..but the sweet earthy taste and smell of the water and the quenching of the thirst still takes me back in time

Tryst with Kartikeyan's vehicle

Thanks to my wife, now it’s become a routine for us to visit a temple and then a great breakfast or a brunch someplace in Delhi. Trying to inculcate the godliness into my son and me :-)

So we started frequenting the Sree Swaminatha Swami Temple  in New Delhi. A temple where I used to be taken to when I was a kid. The temple is fondly called "Malai" Mandir by the Delhities or "Malay" meaning hill and not cream..as its situated atop a small hill.

A beautiful place..quiet and houses the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Swaminatha or Karthikeya or Muruhgan, S/o The Original Dude Siva

This is where we found one of the Peacocks roaming around as it was being called for lunch by one of the priests. Yes! They get a lot of respect..more than the people who come here to worship the idols. The peacock or Parvani as its called is the vehicle of Karthikeya..

ok now need to go..will post the rest later

Tag! you are it!

Whatcha Looking at?

Ahh! Lunch is served

Rushing to be One up
